Spiritual Life
Spiritual experiences both individual and shared enhance the quality of life. A variety of spiritual activities offered on the Campus strengthens one's relationship to Christ bringing the community together for a higher purpose. The time taken away from the daily routine for spiritual growth is like a breath of fresh air invigorating the individual and the community. The FAU invites students and faculty to join in stimulating and inspiring worship sessions. Among the regular events are:Encounter Under the Word (Begegnung unter dem Wort)
Every two weeks on Wednesday, the whole university is invited to leave work and studies aside and take time to study God's Word.
Student Devotional
Organized by the students themselves, this is a time of reflection, singing, readings, and discussion.
Vesper
At the end of a successful (or sometimes frustrating) week, we begin the Sabbath together on Friday evenings. A diverse programme with praise and devotion invites you to come and rest and direct all thoughts toward God.
Worship Services
On Sabbath morning students, faculty, staff and other campus residents together with guests and visitors from near and far meet in the different worship services that are held on the campus. The worship service is therefore a place where people from different cultures, generations and environments come together to listen to the One Who unites us under His Word.
The Local Adventist Church
…is a university church, in which students form a substantial part in the fellowship. Your pastor sees himself as a partner to assist you in personal problems, spiritual questions or simply for fun times spent together playing table games.
Spiritual Masterplan
Under the motto "living our faith" the university “Spiritual Masterplan” offers insight into the foundations for spiritual life on campus. The Master Plan ist entitled "To find God, to be Human, to Empower for Service - Living and Studying at an Adventist University" and all basic principles are derived from this.
