The degree also entitles the holder to teach worldwide in the field of theology or religious education.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The master's degree is internationally recongnized and may be added to the holder's name. It entitles the holder to continue his\/her academic career by way of a doctorate.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>&shy;Content &shy;<\/strong>and<strong>&shy; Structure&shy;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div class=\"kt-tab-content postclass\">\n<div id=\"sctab69210\" class=\"tab-pane clearfix active\">\n<h4>Content<\/h4>\n<p>The content of the program is divided into the following modules:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Interpretation of Reality and Hermeneutics<\/li>\n<li>Theology and Religious Consciousness<\/li>\n<li>Being a Christian in the Church and Society<\/li>\n<li>Gospel as a Communicative Event<\/li>\n<li>Hope and the Future<\/li>\n<li>Religion as Ritual and Cult<\/li>\n<li>Continuity and Change<\/li>\n<li>Ethics and Responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Art and Culture<\/li>\n<li>Foundations of Christian Faith<\/li>\n<li>Archaeology of Palestine<\/li>\n<li>Christianity\/Present-day World Religions<\/li>\n<li>Child and Youth Work<\/li>\n<li>Faith and Science<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Structure<\/h4>\n<div class=\"kt-tab-content postclass\">\n<div id=\"sctab69210\" class=\"tab-pane clearfix active\">\n<p>The normal program length is 4 semesters. It may be extended by up to 2 semesters upon application.<\/p>\n<p>Like the bachelor's program, the master's program also has a modular structure. Larger thematic blocks are grouped in modules. Each module consists of several courses from various areas of study, from Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Practical Theology, Mission Studies, and Church Development. The modules generally take one semester or one year of study.<\/p>\n<p>The overall module grade is the arithmetic mean of the individual course grades. For each module completed, a set number of credits is given in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The credits are recognized throughout Europe and therefore transferable. Foreign applicants who have little or no knowledge of German may take a one-year course in German as a Foreign Language at Friedensau Adventist University. Please do not send original certificates! The documents remain in the possession of the university. Official translations of all foreign-language documents must be in German, except for English or French documents.<\/p>\n<p>An application for admission can only be processed by the university when the necessary documents have been received in full. Hence the admission process can only consider those applications for which the necessary documents have been submitted by the application deadline.
