In addition to personal maturity, this requires specialist and methodological knowledge, which the program aims to impart. This is achieved through contact with the ancient languages, an introduction to exegetical methods, systematic, historical and practical-theological studies, practical training alongside the program, and communal life on campus.

The program may also be of interest to anyone who wants to take a basic course of study in the field of theology, whether for reasons of personal interest or in order to pursue continuing studies in another program. The bachelor's degree is a university degree and may be added to the holder's name. At the same time, it is also a first professional qualification which, in some organizations, allows the holder to become a pastoral assistant or deacon, and in some countries, a pastor (or a pastoral assistant).

The successful completion of the B.A. in Theology program is one of the requirements for working as a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The bachelor's degree is usually followed by the M.A. in Theology program, which must be successfully completed in order to become a pastor in Germany.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_customButtonbox ct_pagelink="Application #6131" ct_bgcolor="bg_purple" ct_button="apply now" ct_link="|||"]

Application period

Admissions are only possible for winter terms
March 1 to August 31

Applicants who need a visa
November 15 to March 15

Beginning of the program

Winter semester

Length of the program

3 years / 6 semesters
+ 2 semesters to learn the biblical languages

Study option

Full-time studies

Degree

Bachelor of Arts in Theology
(180 credits)

Language

German

Tuition

Financial Bulletin[/vc_customButtonbox][vc_single_image image="36041" img_size="150x150" alignment="center" onclick="custom_link" img_link_target="_blank" link="https://antrag.akkreditierungsrat.de/akkrstudiengaenge/55825e30-ef95-bb3d-5d9a-8d583e6db71b/"][vc_customQuote ct_image="47801" ct_bgcolor="bg_lightpurple"]In every course I discover a new facet of the Gospel — the life-changing good news of God’s active love. The modules generally take one semester or one year of study.

Passing all individual courses of a module is the requirement for the completion of a module. The overall module grade is the arithmetic mean of the individual course grades. For each module completed, a set number of credits is given in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The credits are recognized throughout Europe and therefore transferable.
