The goal of the ThHF\u2019s archaeological research is to establish a scientific basis for the cultural and historical connections mentioned in the Old Testament between Israel and Moab.<\/p>\n<p>During intensive surface surveys, numerous sites were discovered whose chronological dating has significantly enriched our understanding of the historical settlement of the Moabites over the centuries.
