­TV-Radio Bill (Contribution service)­<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The broadcasting fee must also be paid for each room in the Friedensau student dormitories. <\/span>The broadcasting fee is a legally prescribed contribution for citizens, companies and institutions as well as for public interest bodies. For private households, the current fee is 18.36 EUR per month.<\/p>\n

The contribution serves to finance the public broadcasting service and is based on a contributory model. Contributory means that in principle all adult citizens, companies and institutions as well as public interest bodies in Germany should contribute \u2013 regardless of their actual media use. Occupying a room or an apartment creates an obligation to pay dues. The objective is to ensure the highest possible level of fairness in the financing.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are sharing a room, the room will be considered a household. That means, that you share the cost of 18.36 Euro with your room mate(s). However, the organization needs to be informed about it.
