Perspektiven und Herausforderungen sozialer Elternschaft.\u201c In it, based on interviews with foster parents who have taken in a child with disabilities, a concept of ways of dealing with the resulting challenges is generated. The socio-educationally oriented work with general educational dimensions examines foster parents' subjective processes of experience and education. The result shows that foster parents develop three different patterns of dealing in response to the challenges posed by a foster child's special needs, which are grounded in personal self- and world-relations.<\/p>\n<p>Friedegard F\u00f6ltz, Dr. phil., is a lecturer in social work at Friedensau Adventist University.
