Dr Steffen Burchhardt, District Administrator of Jerichower Land, was also present to hand over the donation; he is both patron and active supporter of the \"Forest Run for a Good Cause\" project. 3,409.50 euros in donations were handed over to zoo manager Juliane Reimann. Zabakuck Zoo was chosen as the project to be supported because integration is practised here: People with and without disabilities work together with commitment, love and joy to look after the animals and visitors to the zoo. According to Juliane Reimann, the donation will be used for a joint trip to Sta\u00dffurt Zoo \u2013 to see how work and care is carried out elsewhere, so to speak \u2013 and part of the money will be used to renovate the prairie dog enclosure. The main sponsors of the 2023 forest run were Stadtwerke Burg and Friedensau Adventist University. The Forest Run 2025 will take place on 27 April 2025. Proposals for which project to collect donations are still being sought.
