It will be bilingual: in German from 11 to 23 April 2025 and in English from 1 April to 30 June 2025. The exhibition can be viewed during the library's opening hours. These are: Sunday to Thursday 8 am to 10 pm, Friday 8 am to 4 pm; closed on Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, the Anabaptist movement celebrates its 500th anniversary. It originated in Zurich in 1525, when a group that originally belonged to the circle of friends of Swiss reformer Huldrych Zwingli practised confessional baptism, emphasising a clear separation of church and state. Some free churches that still practise this baptism today see themselves in this tradition. To mark the occasion, Friedensau University Library has brought a travelling exhibition to Friedensau and is showing it in German and English with a time delay.<\/p>\n<p>An introductory lecture with church historian Dr Johannes Hartlapp will take place on Friday, 4 April 2025, 4 pm, in the library. This lecture also marks the start of the \u2018Night of the Libraries\u2019, which takes place on 4 April and includes other events \u2013 such as Shabbat Shalom, a lecture \u2018I want to sing and play God\u2019 and gospel games with Johannes F\u00e4hndrich \u2013 until shortly before midnight. Admission is free.
