Juliane Schmidt, pastor and head of the youth department of the Adventist Youth of the Middle Rhine (Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland) and a graduate of the FAU, is expected to be the guest speaker. Her topic is \u201cMan, God! How strange it is that God writes history with people. No parade of heroes. God on the margins.\u201d The events during the Week of Spiritual Emphasis are open to the public. Admission is free.<\/p>\n<p>From Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, 2026, Juliane Schmidt will explore a topic each evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Barn Friedensau (<strong>in German Language with translation):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>March 23, 2026 | \u201cMarkus \u2013 The Naked One. When Hurt Clings to Something Else\u201d<\/p>\n<p>March 26, 2026 | \u201cEhud \u2013 Sometimes the Other Side Is the Way. God Reaches Out with His Unfamiliar Hand\u201d<\/p>\n<p>March 27, 2026 | \u201cMary and Martha \u2013 Between \u2018Too Late\u2019 and \u2018Exactly God\u2019s Time\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the \u201cGathering Around the Word\u201d on Wednesday morning at 9:50 a.m. in the chapel, Juliane Schmidt will share a devotional message titled \u201cRhode \u2013 Overflowing with Joy. When a miracle comes knocking \u2013 and we can hardly believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10 a.m., the Week of Spiritual Emphasis will conclude with a worship service in the chapel. She stays the course when questions become uncomfortable, because that\u2019s often exactly where discipleship becomes real. She loves faith that doesn\u2019t sound polished but is sustaining. She believes: Jesus still changes lives today.
