Concert of the chamber orchestra

On October 13, 2018, a concert of the chamber orchestra of the Friedensau Adventist University took place in the chapel under the direction of Jürgen Hartmann, Berlin. The musicians interpreted pieces by Italian Maestros of the 16th and 18th century: Giovanni Gabrieli, Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi, Niccolò Piccinni, Andrea Lucchesi and Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni. As soloists on the mandolin Erik Warenthin from Weimar and Cami Hotea-Schulz on the Violin from Graben-Neudorf, visited.
The concertos of the chamber orchestra of Friedensau Adventist University is locally known since many years and marked as highlight of the region. The orchestra was founded by Prof. Wolfgang Kabus, a long-standing teacher at the Uni, and led by him since 1999. It consists of professional musicians and amateur musicians, which test and prove their skills regularly in Concerts in Central Germany. The current musical director Jürgen Hartmann is the successor of Prof. Kabus at Friedensau Adventist University and now National Church Musician in Berlin-Central German union of STA.
