Bild der THH Friedensau

In the afternoon of October 13, 2018, a concert of the chamber orchestra of Friedensau Adventist University (FAU), under the direction of Jürgen Hartmann, Berlin, took place in the chapel of Friedensau. The musicians interpreted works by Italian masters of the 16th and 18th centuries, such as Giovanni Gabrieli, Arcangelo Corelli, Antonio Vivaldi, Niccolò Piccinni, Andrea Lucchesi, and Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni. Soloists were Erik Warenthin, Weimar (mandolin), and Cami Hotea-Schulz, Graben-Neudorf (violin).

The concerts of the chamber orchestra of FAU have been known to local music lovers for many years and are a highlight in the region. The orchestra was founded over 50 years ago by Prof. Wolfgang Kabus, a long-standing professor at FAU, and led by him until 1999. It consists of professional musicians and qualified amateur musicians who regularly prove their skills in various concerts, especially in Central Germany. The current Musical Director Jürgen Hartmann was one of the successors of Prof. Kabus at FAU and is now national church musician in the Berlin-Central German Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
