International Accreditation Commission in Friedensau
19. Dec. 2025
From 16 to 18 December 2025, the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), the church's internal accreditation commission, was in Friedensau. It subjected Friedensau Adventist University to an evaluation and reaccreditation process. The two departments of Theology and Christian Social Work were reviewed, as were all other administrative departments, from the university computer centre, operations, accounting, marketing, the cafeteria, and the guest house, to the effectiveness of the university management and the board of trustees.
The accreditation group, whose members are appointed from Adventist educational institutions (representing universities and colleges from Great Britain, Austria, Peru, and the USA), presented a preliminary public report on its evaluation on Thursday, 18 December.
For each of the twelve areas of the university examined, the group identified areas that had developed very well during the last accreditation period and also made recommendations on strategic issues that the university should address in the coming years. Prof. Dr. Socrates Quispe-Condori, Executive Director of AAA, stated during his four-day visit: "There is much to be pleased about in the development of Friedensau. We congratulate the staff of ThHF on the continuous development of Friedensau. Everyone is doing a great job for their students and also for the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The final accreditation report, which is still pending, will contain further topics for the further development of Friedensau. According to the regulations of the Free Church, accreditation takes place every two to five years.
