Our University 

We envision our campus university as a trusting, tolerant, multicultural and cooperative community enlivened by our students, faculty and staff. Equality between women and men is a basic principle, as is respect for other religions, world views and cultures.

Our values and basic attitude 

Faith, education and the way of life form a unity. In our actions we strive to reflect a spirituality based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and treat others as we would like to be treated (Mt. 7:12). 

A positive attitude towards life enables self-acceptance and is reflected in an openness towards us and others. Solidarity with the vulnerable is important to us. 

Through participation in planning and administration, service orientation and commitment to our university, we shape our campus life and practice responsible behavior toward nature and the environment. 

As a health-promoting university, we support a healthy lifestyle, maintain a smoke-free campus and refrain from all intoxicants and addictive substances.

The character education and development of the personality at the university is meant to increase the awareness of one‘s own value, lead to independent thinking and acting, promote self-responsibility and self-control, and enable individuals to deal with freedom and social contact. 

Our Commitment 

  • We respect the dignity of all people and the social, religious and cultural background of others. 
  • We accept the Adventist character of the university and respect its values and principles. 
  • We treat others honestly and comply with contractual agreements and rules of social interaction.
  • We refrain from all forms of disadvantage or discrimination based on ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual identity. 
  • We refrain from any form of sexual harassment, unwanted sexual acts and requests for such, unwanted sexually determined physical touching or remarks of sexual content.
  • We act respectfully and fairly on social media and refrain from any form of harassment, insult or bullying.
  • We refrain from addictive and intoxicating substances such as nicotine, alcohol or drugs on campus. 
  • We accept encouragement to live a spiritual life and invitations to participate in common religious events. 
  • We treat data and information that become known to us as a result of committee work confidentially and protect the personal rights of others. 
  • We conserve the resources of the university and use the infrastructure responsibly. 
  • We commit ourselves to regular attendance at lectures, seminars and mandatory courses in accordance with the study regulations.
  • We commit to pay fees and payments to the university within the set deadlines.
