Students from Babcock University visited Friedensau

26. Jun. 2025

From 11 to 19 June 2025, Friedensau Adventist University welcomed a group of ten students and two teachers from Nigeria. They came from the School of Social Work at Babcock University. The visit was part of the cooperation between the two universities.

During their stay, the Nigerian students visited several institutions in the district, where they learnt about the fields of Social Work in Germany. They took part in lectures on campus and were involved in student life by the local students, from sports and student clubs to international church services.

Of course, there was no shortage of sightseeing either, with a day trip to Berlin allowing them to familiarise themselves with the history and sights of the city. Another excursion took them to the state capital Magdeburg. Colleagues from Babcock University held a public lecture on campus, which led to a lively exchange between students and lecturers from both universities.

Academic and cultural exchange with partner institutions worldwide is part of the university's international network, which is being further expanded, particularly in connection with the new Friedensau Bachelor's Study Programme in International Social Work.
