The autumn Week of Spiritual Emphasis begins on 3rd November

From 3 to 8 November 2025, Friedensau Adventist University invites you to its Autumn Week of Spiritual Emphasis. From Monday to Friday, daily events will take place at 7.30 p.m. in the Barn Friedensau. The closing service will be held on Saturday, 8 November 2025, at 10 a.m. as a joint service in the chapel.
Speakers for the week include personalities from the academic world and a Friedensau pastor. The theme of the Week of Spiritual Emphasis is ‘Grace in Unexpected Places’ – referring to various New Testament Bible texts; the lectures will be held in English. Visitors can listen to the simultaneous translation, which is offered daily, via headsets. The topics in detail:
Monday: Dr. Kwaku Arhin-Sam: Transforming the „Villagescape“ (Matthew 9,10–13)
Tuesday: Samuel Ramirez: Nicodemus: Searching for Grace in the Academic World (John 3,1–2)
Wednesday: Goran Živković, Ph.D.: Grace in the Race: Competing against Competition (Philippians 2,3–4)
Thursday: Robinson Onderi: God’s Action in the Unexpected (Ephesians 6,10)
Friday: Prof. Stefan Höschele: Grace with or without Limits? (James 5,1–6)
Sabbath: Prof. Martin Klingbeil: Hidden Monuments of Grace (Romans 5,8)
Twice a year, Weeks of Spiritual Emphasis are held in Friedensau as a spiritual offering for university staff and students, their guests, friends and residents of Friedensau and the surrounding area. In daily evening events, a Bible text is taken as the focus, linked to current topics and supplemented by music and skits.
