67th International Migration Conference online from Friedensau

The 67th AWR International Migration Conference was held on February 9-10, 2022. The theme of this conference was "Global Migration: trans-cultural, trans-disciplinary and intersectional perspectives".

For this conference, Friedensau AdventistUniversity (FAU), Nuremberg Technical University Georg-Simon Ohm, La Sapienza University of Rome (Chair of Political Science), German-Jordanian University (GJU, Amman, Jordan) and Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (FWS) was cooperating. It was an online event chaired by Prof. Dr. Simone Emmert, LL.M.Eur. (Georg-Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences / Friedensau Adventist University). Serving as co-chairs are Aggreg. Prof. Dr. Luigino Manca (La Sapienza, Rome, Italy), Prof. Dr. Ralf Roßkopf (GJU, Jordan / FHWS, Germany).

The name-giving organization is the Association for the Study of the World Refugee Problem (AWR). The Association has its origins in the Association for the Study of the European Refugee Problem (AER), founded in 1950. The two merged in 1961. As the first international research association in the field of migration, it provides an international and interdisciplinary network and platform for dialogue between academia and practitioners.

The topics of the conference was diverse and presented by international scientists. There was opportunities to meet and network. More: www.awr-int.de.
