Friedensau goes classical

09. May. 2019

On Saturday, May 4, 2019, a concert for friends of classical music took place in the chapel of Friedensau. Lea Jelinek, a student of Social Science in the 2nd semester, had organized this concert as a student project and stated: "Some of my fellow students came to Friedensau with good musical knowledge and education on different instruments. It really is fun to use the talents. Not only could I convince my mother and sisters to come to visit me on that weekend, but also could I convince them to participate in the concert." Young musicians, most of them are students at Friedensau Adventist University (FAU), contributed to the varied program with musical performances on cello, cembalo, guitar, transverse flute, and violin. Even vocal music was performed. Pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonin Dvořak, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and others were performed. At the end of the concert, all young artist got a well-deserved and long-lasting applause.
