From the Belgian Royal Family to Friedensau

Following an invitation from the Belgian royal couple, during which Prof. Dixon Chibanda presented his increasingly global “Friendship Bench” project, he once again visited the Friedensau Adventist University on May 12 and 13. on May 12, 2026, the German-speaking group of Friendship Bench had the special honor of receiving their certificates of completion from Prof. Chibanda for the three-stage training program. Prof. Dr. phil. Dr. rer. med. Silvia Hedenigg and Prof. Andreas Bochmann, the project directors of Friendship Bench, were particularly pleased to certify Dr. Inna Mayer, Szilvia Szabó, and Ulf Ballin’s successful participation in the three-stage “Friendship Bench Training.” Unfortunately, the four other graduates were not on campus for this event. The ceremonial presentation was very emotional—as the pictures show. Two participants followed Prof. Chibanda’s invitation to share their practical experiences with Friendship Bench.
