Vita

Born in 1949, Rolf J. Pöhler studied in Germany and the USA and received his doctorate in Systematic Theology from Andrews University (Michigan) in 1995 with a thesis on “Changes in Adventist Theology”. Among others, he functioned as a pastor and church president. He has been teaching at Friedensau Adventist University since 1992 and was appointed Professor of Systematic Theology in 2009. He heads the Institute of Adventist Studies as well as the Master of Theological Studies. Pöhler is the author and editor of several books and numerous essays and gives various lectures.
