15. Sep. 2022

On 12 September 2022, the university management of Friedensau Adventist University, Rector Prof. Dr. Roland E. Fischer and Chancellor Tobias H. Koch, Ass. Jur., signed a cooperation agreement with the managing partners of the Institute for Holistic Well-being, Resilience and Spirituality, Klaus van Treeck and Lorethy Starck. In future, the university and the institute will work together in the research area of "Holistic Well-being, Resilience and Spirituality in Spiritual and Diaconal Ministry". The research content and fields of activity of the institute include the topics: Increasing resilience, stress and burnout prevention, setting up individual support concepts, optimal personnel development and coaching of staff in the church context as well as promoting their competence development.
Pastor Klaus van Treeck (Theol.-Diplom A) and Pastor Lorethy Starck (Diplom-Theologe, M.sc. Psychology) have been working in this field for several years. Lorethy Starck – like Klaus van Treeck – is active in congregational work; he is also a guest lecturer at the School of Theology in Friedensau. The cooperation agreement will help to closely link research, teaching and practice.
