Students and staff from Friedensau visited Churches in Munic area

04. Apr. 2022

On Saturday, 2 April 2022, lecturers, students and staff from Friedensau Adventist University visited nine different Adventist churches in the greater Munich area. They took the opportunity to preach in the churches and get to know them better on site. In the afternoon, the youth hour "Munich Meets" took place in Munich East, Innere Wiener Straße 34, and parallel to this a panel discussion with the theologians Prof. Stefan Höschele, Dr. Johannes Hartlapp and Prof. Bernhard Oestreich. The topic was "One faith – many opinions?" Miodrag Jovanovic, pastor in Munich-Waldfrieden, moderated the event. An information and question session about the Adventist University with its study programmes followed. Interested people of all ages took part in the events.

At the Friedensau Adventist University as a state-recognised college in the sponsorship of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, eight B.A. and M.A. degree courses can be taken – some part-time or part-time – in the subject areas of Social Work and Theology. In preparation for studying in Germany, students can acquire language skills at levels A1, B1 or C1 in a beginners' and advanced 'German as a Foreign Language' course. Around 40 nations are represented among the students and teachers. Prospective students are invited to sign up for taster days and get to know life in the lecture hall and on campus. Online info days are planned on 4 April 2022, from 6.30 p.m., for the German course (register at ) and on 18 May 2022, from 5 p.m., for the Bachelor's programme in Social Work, which will be offered for the first time as a part-time programme from autumn.
