Participants of the community distance learning programme receive diplomas

On 22 October 2022, the graduation of the GemeindeFernStudium was celebrated in Wasserburg (Bavaria). The participants received their certificates from the lecturer for church and Advent history and director of the GemeindeFernStudium, Dr Johannes Hartlapp. The GemeindeFernStudium, an offer of the Friedensau Adventist University, comprises three one-year course parts, which are divided as follows: 1st year: Church and Advent History, 2nd year: Systematic Theology, 3rd year: Homiletics (teaching of sermons). In contrast to the previous three-year correspondence course, the course in Wasserburg was extended by one year. The reason for this was the request not to study homiletics alone in the third year, but to add a year of church development/mission afterwards. Due to the Corona pandemic, the handing over of the diploma was delayed by another year. Therefore, the course, which started in 2017, did not finish until 2022.
