Prof. Klingbeil administered a Hebrew exam in Bogenhofen

19. Jun. 2026

On June 10, 2026, Prof. Martin Klingbeil, who teaches the Old Testament at Friedensau Adventist University (FAU), together with Martin Pröbstle, Ph.D., dean of the Department of Theology at the Schloss Bogenhofen Seminary, administered the oral Hebraicum exam on site in Bogenhofen. In 20-minute sessions, two successful candidates each read an unfamiliar text from the Hebrew Bible, translated it, and then answered grammatical questions about it. They thus join the group of 13 students who successfully passed their Hebraicum exam on February 4, 2026, in Friedensau (https://www.thh-friedensau.de/hebraicum-geschafft/). Through a collaboration between the two institutions, Friedensau offers Bogenhofen students the opportunity each year to certify their Hebrew proficiency with a certificate recognized by both the state and the university.
