Weimar University NEWSTART Ensemble (USA) will present a concert

On Friday, June 26, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Weimar University NEWSTART Ensemble (USA) will present a concert titled “Worship Him” in the chapel of Friedensau Adventist University, An der Ihle 5. Admission is free; a collection will be taken.

NEWSTART?! How did an ensemble come up with this rather programmatic name? What’s behind it? NEWSTART® is a medically supervised, scientifically based lifestyle change program founded on eight proven principles that have been shown to help achieve good or improved health. The NEWSTART health program was developed in the 1970s at the Weimar Institute in the United States. The individual elements are often referred to as the “eight natural remedies”: N Nutrition, E Exercise, W Water, S Sunlight, T Temperance, A Air (fresh air), R Rest (rest/sleep), T Trust in God. The initial letters form the term NEWSTART, which is also reflected in the ensemble’s name. Various Adventist institutions worldwide follow the NEWSTART philosophy. There are NEWSTART retreats, NEWSTART spiritual retreats, and more. And now, a NEWSTART concert!

The Weimar University NEWSTART Ensemble, currently performing in Friedensau, has been dedicated since 2023 to providing uplifting and healing music for the “NEWSTART” and “Coping with Depression and Anxiety” programs at Weimar University. The ensemble is performing in Friedensau with a program titled “Worship Him.”

The members of the ensemble are mostly laypeople; they are medical students, hospital staff, or alumni of Weimar University.
