Friedensau on the road” on January, 28, 2023
25. Jan. 2023
On Saturday, January, 28, 2023, lecturers, students and staff of Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) were on the road in Lower Saxony to visit twelve different Adventist churches (in Braunschweig, Celle, Gifhorn, Stadthagen, Uetze, Wolfsburg, Hanover, Hildesheim and Burgdorf). They took the opportunity to be guests of friends: to preach in the churches and to get to know them better on site. In the afternoon, there was a multi-faceted event in the Hanover-Mitte, Fischerstraße 19, starting at 3 pm. Under the theme "University meets congregation", questions such as "What connects us as Adventists? Where is the journey going?" and "Where is our place in the world?" were answered. Prof. Thomas Spiegler, Professor of Sociology and Empirical Social Research and Dean of the School of Social Work, and Igor Lorencin, Lecturer in New Testament at the School of Theology, gave keynote speeches from the special perspective of their respective fields at the FAU. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to ask questions. The moderator was Alberto Mambranca, pastor in Hannover-Mitte. A youth service with Friedensau students and young people from the region followed at 6.30 pm, also in Hannover, Fischerstraße. Interested youth and parishioners were cordially invited to all events.
