PhD supervision
Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) offers PhD supervision in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Bildung und Forschung in Europa (GBFE). Enrollment in a PhD program requires a master’s degree (M.A. or M.T.S.) in the same or a related discipline.
The PhD is done through the GBFE in cooperation with the University of South Africa (UNISA) and more recently with the University of Pretoria (UP). On its website, the GBFE points out an interesting way to obtain a doctorate: "A special feature is the PhD in Theological Studies. For this doctorate you need a Master's degree, but not necessarily in theology. This path is attractive if, for example, you have a Master's in economics or in psychology and want to do research on an interdisciplinary topic that lies at the interface between theology and your original discipline."
In addition to an annual colloquium at GBFE, FAU can supervise PhD research.
