Friedensau Adventist University (FAU) offers PhD supervision in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für Bildung und Forschung in Europa (GBFE). The GBFE offers Ph.D. programs through UNISA or University of Pretoria. Enrollment in a PhD program requires a master’s degree (M.A. or M.T.S.) in the same or a related discipline.
On its website, the GBFE points out an interesting way to obtain a doctorate: "A special feature is the PhD in Theological Studies. For this doctorate you need a Master's degree, but not necessarily in theology. This path is attractive if, for example, you have a Master's in economics or in psychology and want to do research on an interdisciplinary topic that lies at the interface between theology and your original discipline."
In addition to an annual colloquium at GBFE, FAU can supervise PhD research.
Cooperation with GBFE
The Gesellschaft für Bildung und Forschung in Europa (GBFE) is a European network of institutions in Denmark, Germany, Russia, and Switzerland. GBFE promotes international studies and research in various disciplines on the master and doctoral levels.
Since 2019, Friedensau Adventist University is a member of GBFE. Thanks to this cooperation, FAU can supervise academic research and doctoral dissertations (PhD).
