Dean's Office

The Dean's Office is the point of contact for students in all aspects of academic life in the School of Theology, e.g. for advice on the route of study, enrollment for courses, and certificates of all kinds. The Secretary of the Dean of Theology is responsible for the organization of the faculty of the School of Theology.

Further main tasks of the staff members working at the Dean's Office are the schedule planning, both prior and during the semester, as well as the contact to guest lectures and fellows and the help desk function for them.

The Dean's Office is also the office of the School Executive Committee.

Examinations Office

The Examinations Office is the central management office for all examination-related matters. It administers all performances and course enrollments and processes applications from students, e.g. for the registration for the final thesis, the re-entry to a module examination, a semester on leave, maternity leave, sickness leave, or the extension of study.

The Examinations Office issues certificates and transcripts as well as degree certificates and degree transcripts and enrolls university entrants and terminates the enrollment of graduates.

The Examinations Office is also the office of the Examination Committee.

The application and the consent of the Evaluator must be submitted correctly and completely to the Examinations Office at least one week before the respective meeting of the Examination Committee. The application deadlines are the same for all degree programmes in the School of Social Sciences; the different submission deadlines in the respective degree programmes can be found in the lists of deadlines.

Advice on the content of the thesis is given in the respective thesis colloquia of the degree programmes and with the chosen supervisors. You are advised to seek advice on the process of registering and submitting your thesis at the Examinations Office. Individual appointments can be made by telephone or e-mail.
