09. Oct. 2022

On 8 November 2022, 7.00 p.m., the Arthur Daniels Institute for Mission Studies will again start a basic course for small group leaders. The course is aimed at those who are interested in founding and leading a small group in a church congregation. The course will be led by Dr. László Szabó, lecturer in missiology and intercultural studies at Friedensau Adventist University. The course is designed to be taught in seven evening sessions of about two hours each. The course will be conducted online in English, simultaneous translation into German is possible if required. Registrations are due by 20 October at: ">.

From 8 November to 20 December 2022, the course evenings "Small Group Training" will take place on Tuesdays. First of all, the basic topics on group dynamics and group leadership will be worked on, with a special focus on the congregational context and the transmission of values. Course leader László Szabó and theology student Michael Bistrovic will also give an insight into the Old Testament and New Testament foundations of successful fellowship; they will explain how each person can recognise, assess and walk their own spiritual path, how to lead and accompany a group, what obstacles can get in the way of the leader, how to conduct group discussions - and much more. In the course itself, all participants are part of a small group from the beginning, in which they can try out the first steps in the process of "learning by doing". The course is aimed at an international audience. Registrations from Albania, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and the Czech Republic have already been received.

After the basic course, two further courses can be taken: the advanced course and the missionary course. There are no costs for the participants; however, the course "small group leader" may be supported financially by a donation. For further information see: https://adimis.org
