Lecturer Simone Emmert appointed assistant professor

From the hands of the Rector of the Friedensau Adventist University (FAU), Prof. Dr. Roland Fischer, lecturer Dr. phil. Simone Emmert received the certificate of appointment as assistant professor on January 27, 2021. 
Based on the approval of the Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalization, Dr. phil. Simone Emmert, LL. M. EUR., was granted the right to use the title of junior professor for the subject area of "Law for Social Work" for the duration of her tenure-track lectureship at FAU.
"Tenure-track" describes a path in the academic career at universities and colleges through which a lifetime professorship can be obtained. 
Simone Emmert has been teaching at the FAU since 2015, interrupted by a temporary professorship at the University of Applied Sciences in Magdeburg-Stendal. Her CV shows international expertise: student of law in Würzburg, Erasmus scholarship holder in Leuven (Belgium), scholarship in Florence (Italy), PhD in Marburg; lecturer at the universities in Marburg, Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada), at Champlain College Lennoxville (Quebec, Canada), appointed lawyer, and anti-bias-trainer. She speaks also English and French. Her commitment and research interests include human rights, family law and diversity. She has published widely on these topics.
